Head of the European Commission proposes to amend the immigration aid to Turkey


    President of the European Commission announced that it would propose financial transfer assistance provided by the Union to Turkey to cover the establishment of refugees from immediate humanitarian relief to long-term support.


    Said Ursula von der Line, said that this aid agreement concluded with Turkey, will be discussed at the summit of EU leaders in Brussels Thursday.


    She added: "I think it is important for us to continue to support Turkey in the presence of about 3.7 million Syrian refugees in."


    She said: "Some of them in Turkey ten years ago, and so will increase our support is also being directed to socio-economic assistance .. We will not need a lot of emergency humanitarian assistance, but it is important for us to see what people dilute the reality."


    She spoke von der Line after a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who said that Turkey "do amazing things" to support Syrian refugees.
